Summary:
The Necklaces is an educational-entrepreneurial program seeking to innovate in learning and teaching and to develop creativity in its Apprentices.
The Necklaces has four phases:
An ingenious algorithm allows us to discover cyclical secuences that we call Necklaces.
For example:
33696639 [ 33...
the first eight digits close a Necklace that starts a repetition at 33. Each digit after the first two is obtained by adding the preceding ones to a one digit sum.
After that first phase called Discovery, Apprentices create melodies and designs based on the discovered sequences. This is the Creativity phase.
The following phase is Technology. Apprentices create longer and more complex Necklaces with the help of an Excel spreadsheet. Excel allows us to create Necklaces that can be up to 2184 digits long, for example, or Necklaces in non-decimal number systems, which would be very hard to discover manually.
During the last phase, Communication and Development, Apprentices have an opportunity to instruct others, thereby galvanizing their own command of the newly acquired knowledge.
This phase is driven by an entrepreneurial platform that is presented at the beginning of the phase. Part of the proposal lays out rules for identifying serial numbers in bills as compliant with Necklaces sequences.
